What is Life Coaching?

It is a client-coach partnership to clarify the client’s values, passions, dreams, and goals and create effective strategies and actions to realize those dreams and goals. It involves shifting perspectives, thinking expansively and creatively, as well as realistically -- with support, encouragement, and accountability.

What kinds of coaching are offered?

  • Life Coaching deals with all issues and aspects of life arising from transitions into or within the Third Age.

  • Career Coaching focuses more, but not entirely, on career/work choices, strategies, and transitions for Third-agers, utilizing Meg’s extensive experience as a career counselor and coach.

  • Follow-on Coaching as an extension of the workshop experience enables participants to capitalize on their new learning and momentum and to reach their goals more quickly.

How is it done?

  • One-on-one or in small groups, in person and/or by telephone, with a structured but fluid process, tailored to the client’s or group’s agenda and needs.

Meg is a certified Life Coach and a nationally recognized specialist in Third-Age Life Planning. She has maintained an independent career and life coaching practice since 2000, after ten years in Harvard’s Office of Career Services.
